I felt so good after the 5-day Prolon experience I decided to change my schedule. I "water fasted" for two more days. Don't do this at home. I'll share why. First of all, "water fast" is in quotes. Here's why. I do usually have a bulletproof coffee in the AM. It includes 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil and 1/2 teaspoon of ghee. That would technically make these days a "fat fast," not water fast. Overall, everything continues to go well. But there was one problem. I woke up well-rested again this morning. (If you can sleep well during a fast, you'll probably do great!) But upon awakening, my blood sugar read 45. I confirmed it on my Freestyle fingerstick device. I felt fine, though. I didn't operate machinery. And I only went downstairs. I had my bulletproof coffee and sat talking with Janice until my sugar returned to the 60s.
