This video covers a recent survey titled “National Survey of Primary Care Physicians’ Knowledge, Practices, and Perceptions of Prediabetes.” It zeroed on limited PCP knowledge, but the survey also uncovered two barriers to prediabetes prevention: (1) patients' lack of motivation; and (2) lack of system-level resources. Conclusion: Gaps in PCP knowledge and system issues must be addressed to improve diabetes management in primary care.
