There's an exciting notion advanced by Gary Taubes, author of "Why We Get Fat" and "Good Calories, Bad Calories." He said that we don't get fat because we eat; we eat more because we get fat. And I agree. Moreover, as we eat more, we develop insulin resistance, and too much insulin in the body prevents fat burning.
