Intermittent fasting (also known as time-restricted eating) benefits many health conditions. It triggers a metabolic switch from glucose-based to ketone-based energy. It increases stress resistance and longevity. It brings physical and cognitive effects. It decreases the incidence of a range of diseases. However, despite these benefits, intermittent fasting also has its challenges. There is even a study saying it doesn't bring any difference.
