It's title Effect of short-term carbohydrate overfeeding and long-term weight loss on liver fat in overweight humans. ://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22952180 https://academic.oup.com/ajcn/article/96/4/727/4576835 https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22975987/ Basically, they added 1000 kcal of simple carbs to the diet of 16 obese individuals. It measured serum indicators of de novo lipogenesis, MRI for liver fat content, and body weight. They found a 27% increase in liver fat after 3 weeks of adding 1000 kcal of simple carbs. After 6 months of decreased calories and carbs, the liver fat decreased again.
